AM3517 is a high performance microprocessor from Texas Instruments based on the Cortex-A8 ARM CPU core. More information about AM3517 you cand find here. In addition to AM3505 features it contains SGX-530 PowerVR Graphics accelerator.

PMIC

PMIC is an abbreviation meaning "Power Management Integrated Circuit". IC's of this type integrate one or more power supplies, power supervisor, and power control circuits. Example of PMIC is TPS650732 IC, used in the AM3517 SAU-Module.

SAU-Module

SAU-Module is the Sauris GmbH product which is the finished solution for building of various devices based on high perfomance ARM Cortex-A8 CPU. SAU-Module integrates CPU (AM3517 or AM3505), PMIC (TPS650732), RAM, ROM and a set of various peripherals in the small sized SO-DIMM form factor. CPU type, memory size and set of peripherals can be configured by the customer.
